New LMP1 rules to benefit privateers

The FIA believes that it can create a set of regulations that will appeal to privateers wanting to challenge for overall victories at Le Mans and in the World Endurance Championship. AUTOSPORT recently reported that the sport's governing body was working with Le Mans organiser the ACO to come up with a set of regulations for 2014 that will encourage privateer teams to enter the top class of prototype racing.
