Engelhart Loads Hand at Thompson; Sandt Celebrates Crown

The cars and stars of the iRacing.com NASCAR Tour Modified Series headed to Thompson International Speedway this past week to close off their third successful season. Over 90 of the best sim racers in the series has to offer took to the track for the final time in 2011 Season One and when the final checkered flag flew it was sim racing veterans Herbert Engelhart and Robert Sandt celebrating in victory lane. Engelhart had a winning week at the Connecticut track by scoring five wins on the high banks from a six-pack of starts. The biggest win came in the final race of the season on Saturday when the Mid-South Club driver topped a 2444 sof race over Troy Talman, Joe Gauthier, Sandt and David Chmura.
