Williams defends Senna/Bottas strategy

Williams has defended its decision to make Bruno Senna sacrifice practice mileage to Valtteri Bottas in 2012 after promoting the Finn to take Senna's place in the race team next season. Senna knew from the outset that he would have to hand his car to Bottas on most grand prix Friday mornings , but regularly argued that the loss of running was hampering his form . The Brazilian often struggled in qualifying and was dropped at the end of the 2012 Formula 1 campaign
