IndyCar has confirmed Brian Barnhart will not be the series' race director from next year, in a reshuffle of its competition division. Barnhart, who was heavily criticised for some of his decisions during the 2011 season, will remain as president of operations, overseeing the operational and logistical areas, but will be removed from on-track decisions.
