Jason Plato has been named National Driver of the Year at the AUTOSPORT Awards in London. Plato, who won his second British Touring Car Championship title this year, beat the likes of his season-long rivals Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden and British Formula 3 champion Jean-Eric Vergne to win the award. "It's a very tough championship to win," said Plato, who received the Paul Warwick Trophy from three-time World Touring Car champion Andy Priaulx.
