Rossi undergoes shoulder operation

Valentino Rossi had surgery on Sunday to resolve the shoulder issue that hampered much of his 2010 season. The former world champion sustained the injury in a Motocross crash in April, and the after-effects lingered through the rest of the championship - ultimately hampering his form more than the recovery from the broken leg he suffered at Mugello. Rossi had the two-hour operation on his supraspinatus tendon and glenoid ligament at the Cervesi di Cattolica hospital
