Are you the production Gumpert Tornante?

Gumpert Tornante

A few trademark drawings of what could be the production Gumpert Tornante have shown up on the internet. As you may recall, the supercar manufacturer recently made its way through insolvency largely unscathed and is already back to building Apollo models. But it looks like that isn't all the company is up to. The team at WorldCarFans managed to lay its mitts on a trademark drawing that shows what looks to be an evolution of the Gumpert Tornante by Touring Concept that debuted at the 2011 Geneva Motor Show.

Designers have scrapped the concept's split rear window in favor louvered back glass, and the vehicle's exhaust seems to have received a substantial revision as well. While it's unclear exactly what sort of drivetrain the production Tornante will offer, it's concept predecessor came packing a twin-turbo 4.2-liter V8 engine producing somewhere in the neighborhood of 700 horsepower. The mill was bolted to a TT40e six-speed semi-automatic gearbox. Sounds like a party.

General Motors’s new workhorse trucks, the Chevy Silverado and theGMC Sierra, aren’t radical reformations of the pickup genre?they’re [...]

Keselowski hails impetus of Ford swap

Brad Keselowski believes Penske's switch to Ford will provide a much-needed boost to motivation levels following his 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup title success. The 28-year-old became Penske's first Cup champion in the final round of the season at Homestead, triumphing after nearest rival Jimmie Johnson hit trouble. Speaking during Tuesday's test at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where Penske has started its transition from Dodge to Ford , he admitted it would be easy for energy and drive to slip in the wake of the team's triumph.
