Boost for UK road rallying chances

Widespread closed-road rallying on mainland Britain came a step closer yesterday when the government announced a consultation into the matter.

Ogier clinches Portugal victory

Sebastien Ogier made up for his Mexico crash by winning the Rally of Portugal for a second consecutive year. The Frenchman led team-mate Sebastien Loeb in a Citroen one-two, with a variety of problems consigning the Fords of Jari-Matti Latvala and Mikko Hirvonen to third and fourth. There had been nothing to choose between the top four in the first half of the rally, until Hirvonen suffered a puncture on Saturday morning and Loeb lost time running in his dust after the Ford rejoined

Martinsville NiSWC Broadcast Tuesday

Round Four of the 2011 NASCAR iRacing.com Series World Championship at Martinsville Speedway will be broadcast Tuesday, March 29 at 9 pm EST (March 30 at 01:00 GMT). So far this season, three races have produced three different winners with Ray Alfalla taking the opener at Daytona, Brad Davies winning at Las Vegas and, most recently, Thomas Hazard coming home the victor at Bristol Motor Speedway. Webber baffled by Australian GP pace

Mark Webber says he plans to investigate all aspects of his Australian Grand Prix in a bid to understand why he finished a distant fifth, more than 41 seconds behind race-winner and team-mate Sebastian Vettel.
